Casablanca who placed fourth at the 2017 World Championships for Young Dressage, has been acquired by 2016 Polish U25 Champion Mateusz Cichon.

Partnered with Australian rider Simone Pearce Casablanca finished fourth in the YH Final for five year olds at the FEI/WBFSH World Breeding Dressage Championships for Young Horses. In the finals the sensational mare scored 9.5 for trot, 8.8 for walk, 9.4 for canter, 8.3 for submission and 9.0 for general impression to finish fourth on 9.0, as highest placed mare.

Dubbed the Queen of Trot, the large-framed Hanoverian scored a 10 for her world class trot in the qualifying round.

The head-turning mare is not only a highly successful international sporting mare, she’s also the dam of three 2017 full siblings by Grand Galaxy Win.

Château de Fontaine specialise in breeding dressage horses of the highest standard, from elite sport mares currently competing. A downside to keep up a carefully curated collection of mares is having to say goodbye to even very special horses like Casablanca, however we’re delighted knowing this super mare will be in the very capable hands of Mateusz Cichon and wish the exciting pair the very best of luck.

Thank you to our partners at Helgstrand Dressage for sharing this fairytale ride with us - and a very special thanks to rider extraordinaire Simone Pearce for her incredible passion and commitment.
